about
Talia wrote this song on Labor Day after hearing stories about the fires in the Lost Pines region of Bastrop near her sister-in-law's house. She called in her neighborhood Lost Pines members (Marc and Brian) and with her big brother at the controls (Etan), they recorded it in one take in their living room on Wed evening.
All proceeds from the sale of this track will be donated to Central Texas Wildfire Fund. Please help support the fire victims.

lyrics
lost and lonely pines:
the neighbors on the other side of the fence are playing rock and roll
east of the interstate the pines are raging out of control
don’t know how it started but it’s spreading like sawdust on the wind
and no one in these parts has seen drop of rain since god only knows when
and now they’re running from their homes they’re leaving all their baby clothes behind
and there’s a fire burning in them lost and lonely pines
left behind from another time when they remember green
pine needle pillow, shiver in the stream
limb to fencepost, woodland gives way to sandy loam
one last corner for a yankee girl to breathe a bit of home
now they’re running from their towns they’re leaving all their swimming pools behind
and there’s a fire burning in them lost and lonely pines
that big black cloud above the skyline really ain’t cloud
helicopters circling but the rock and roll is just as loud
and summer’s finally over the sun has turned a golden page
and every inch of dirt that they have ever owned is bursting into flames
now they’re running from the land they’re leaving all their mini vans behind
and there’s a fire burning in them lost and lonely pines
